Cyberarts Opening
The opening for Knock-Knock and the rest of the Boston Cyberarts Festival was tonight and it was a lot of fun. Many hundreds of people came to the reception, including a handful I know (my parents, grandmother, a friend from high school, some web design clients, and a teacher from school). I introduced Pauline to some Brown faculty members, met a bunch of nice MEME@Brown grad students, a couple from RISD, and talked to George Fifield for a bit.
And Knock-Knock seemed to be a success. People guessed how to interact with it right away, and some got really involved. People listened through the earpieces, knocked, scratched, spoke through the ear pieces, and seemed pretty engaged. Some folks told me they liked the piece, and others even thought it looked good.
My dad took a bunch of photos, which I’ll hopefully be able to post in a few days.
