West Hall Graffiti Wall Project

Graffiti Wall, Left Section

The West Hall Graffiti Wall Project is an evolving, community art project sponsored by the Rensselaer Art Department featuring stencils, spray paint, mural art, and wheatpasted posters. Twice annually, artists gather to repaint the wall — inscribing the vibrance and continuity of the arts at Rensselaer.

Last weekend, I, and a handful of other folks, participated in the initial painting of the West Hall Graffiti Wall, a new art project that I organized with Yael and others as part of the curatorial independent study course I proposed for this semester.

It went well. The wall looks good, and will be painted again in the fall by incoming first year students.

I’ve uploaded some pictures. Take a look.
