School
I’m back in school. Classes started on Monday (I had one), and I have two more tomorrow. I’m setting up some independent studies, and trying to settle on a thesis committee.
I’m also outlining all the projects on which I’m working. There are a lot of them, and most are pretty much developed conceptually, though I’m sure they’ll change a lot. Even though I already have too many, I felt like there wasn’t enough way out on the horizon, so I’ve also been brainstorming brand new work, and I have some germinal ideas in that regard too.
With all these pieces in progress though, I really want to start making some stuff. I should get my first school check this Friday at which point I should be able to start ordering little speaker cones and begin experimenting and building some new installations.
Meanwhile though, I’ve had to resort to my old fallback method of getting things done — updating my web sites. I just added some photographs taken by my dad to the Rapture/Rupture piece description on my art portfolio site as well as some bits of news. I’m also starting to work on a reorganization of my shape note music web site, which looks pretty good, but is seriously out of date.
