If you’re anywhere near Troy this Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, this festival should be lovely. My friends Micah and Bethany are performing, and I’ll be there volunteering most of the weekend.

Post-Azariah

Sunday, March 5th, 2006

My thesis show yesterday went well. The singing sounded amazing. There were 55-60 people in attendance at the Old Songs building, including almost 20 shape note singers from as far away as Brattleboro, Boston, and New York City.

I should link this nice little write up of the United Victorian Workers rally and march at the Victorian Stroll last Sunday (the link may only be up for a week, so read it while you can):

Printing Printing Printing!

Thursday, November 17th, 2005

I’m in the grad graphics lab at school printing the Parsons’ Cove pages I posted about earlier in the semester. They look good. I’m hoping to cut and assemble the book over Thanksgiving break.

Wow!

As I write this I’m listening to the documentation from the Under Island show at the CAC on Thursday. The audio recording is less than top quality — because the singing was so loud it overwhelmed the microphones. But the incredible energy of the event comes clear as day.

I arrived at the CAC at 3:30 […]
