Thursday, April 20th, 2006

My installation for the Tang Museum, Rapture/Rupture was profiled this Tuesday in the Albany Times Union. The article introduces readers to the Tang’s “Elevator Music” series and describes two approaches artists have taken to installing work in the space, mine, and that of Luke Dubois.

Photos from the Eyebeam Show

Sunday, January 29th, 2006

Tintinnabulate, Pauline Oliveros, and MIG played at Eyebeam on Thursday to a packed crowd of about 100 people. The show was a ton of fun.

I had two wireless microphones. I spent most of the concert performing from a seat in the front row, but during the third part of the show I walked all around […]

Rhizome’s Net Art News e-mail list plugged our performance with MIG at Eyebeam this week.

Unlike your average rock show, at which the band might only achieve harmony after several rounds of Guinness, Tintinabulate Ensemble performances coalesce spontaneously through the ‘intuition, play, and sympathetic resonance’ of the artists. —Lauren Cornell for Rhizome

I’ve just looked around a bit, and it seems that the recordings […]

Late Night

Saturday, December 10th, 2005

I’m going to bed now having just finished recording “Lawrence” singing each part one at a time for my department open studios on Sunday. The recording is a little rough around the edges, but it is just right for this piece. It’s sad to sing this song, but I’m glad I finally recorded it. I […]

Zéppelin 2005 is about the way sound and music relate to social control. Borders between allowed behaviours and the not allowed ones are often invisible but not inaudible. Society is plenty of sonic signals fixing borders long before […]

Lay the tunebook out on a table in front of where you are sitting or standing, with the book unfolded, so that all of the pages are visible.
Notice the size and shape of the video still on each page, the relative size of the page itself, and the proportions of the […]
